
The 2016 Virtual Heritage Network Ireland conference was held at the College of Arts, Celtic Studies and Social Sciences, (CACSSS) University College Cork from Thursday 8th – Saturday 10th December. The aim of the VHNI is to bring together people who work for the support, improvement and promotion of virtual heritage in Ireland and beyond across the academic, business, education, cultural heritage, policy, and tourism sectors. The Deep Maps: West Coast Coastal Cultures project team presented a poster at the VHNI to showcase the potential for using open data methodologies and digital platforms to promote the range of cultural and historical information available in West Cork.
